Explore Bhutan's Pristine Wilderness and Thrilling Activities

The Snowman Race

The race course covers 175 kilometers (109 miles) through the remote Eastern Himalayas, following the route of the historic Snowman Trek. The Snowman Race is a prestigious, five-day ultra-endurance event recognized as one of the world's most challenging high-altitude runs. Athletes traverse some of the planet's most rugged terrain, enduring an average elevation above 4,267 meters (14,000 feet) and summiting passes as high as 5,470 meters (17,946 feet). Held annually in October, the race is fundamentally a climate action initiative, dedicated to drawing global awareness to the irreversible impacts of climate change on the fragile Himalayan ecosystem.
